If you drive a Silverado, you probably know the moment: your phone slides off the seat, you hear it land, and it is gone somewhere beside the seat or console. Keys, coins, cards and earbuds do the same thing. A gap filler stops it, but only if your truck has a gap to fill and the filler fits it.

Why a Silverado owner should measure the gap first
Check which front seat your Silverado has
The Silverado is sold in several cab styles and trims, and the front seat setup changes with them. Some have a front bench seat, and others have two separate seats with a center console between them. A gap filler only helps where there is a gap between a seat and the console, so a bench seat with no console may not need one at all.
We have not measured the gap in every year, and we have not found a trustworthy published measurement, so we will not make one up. Your car is the only one that counts.
Chevrolet Silverado at a glance
A Silverado 1500 generation began with the 2019 model year, and the one before it ran from 2014 to 2018. Later model years may differ, so check your own. Cab styles are Regular Cab, Double Cab and Crew Cab, and trims run from WT and Custom up to LT, RST, LTZ, High Country, Trail Boss and ZR2.
Depending on cab style and trim, the front can have a bench seat or two bucket seats with a console between them, so what sits beside your seat depends on which you have.
General model background only. It says nothing about whether the filler fits, which only your own gap can tell you.
Good to know
This page is about the Silverado 1500. The heavier 2500HD and 3500HD trucks and the electric Silverado EV are listed as separate models, so their seats and console may differ.
Model details checked against the carweek.com research pages, October 2026.
One photo tells you
Lay a bank card along the gap, take one photo, and our free measuring tool works out the width at the front, middle and rear and the length of the gap. It then says plainly whether our filler will fill it. It takes about a minute, and the photo never leaves your phone.
What makes our gap filler different
It is built to fit a wide range of gaps
- It squeezes in, so narrow gaps are fine. The foam gives, so it presses into tight spots instead of sitting on top of them. The wide end fills gaps up to about 6.5 cm (2.5 in), and each strip is about 40.9 cm (16 in) long.
- You find out before you pay. Most fillers are sold as one size and you learn at your door whether it fits. Ours comes with a photo check that tells you first, and if you would rather ask a person, send us your year and trim and we will tell you what we know.
- One job, done simply. It closes the gap. There is no pocket or box to get in the way of your seat, so it only has to fit the gap, not a phone case.
- It stays put. It hangs in the gap instead of sliding around when you move the seat.
- A pair, one for each front seat, in black, beige, red or brown. Each is a foam strip with a wipe-clean leather-look finish.
- Easy to buy. Free shipping in the US, and you can ask to return it within 30 days of delivery.
Honest limits
It is a gap filler, not a storage organizer. If you want cup holders or pockets, this is not that. And if your photo shows a gap wider than 6.5 cm, we will tell you it will not hold, rather than sell you one that will not work.
Before you buy for your Silverado
Four quick checks
- Measure your gap with the photo tool and choose your Silverado’s year when it asks.
- Look at your seat. After you fit the filler, run the seat all the way forward, back and through the recline range, and take the filler out if anything catches.
- Keep the seat belt buckle free. You should be able to buckle and unbuckle easily.
- Check your owner’s manual for anything about the space beside the seat, including airbags. If it says to keep that space clear, do not fit anything there.
We have not tested the filler in every Silverado year, so we cannot promise it fits yours. That is why the photo check comes first.
